Terms of use
The terms for using DocAesthetics, the guide to UK aesthetic clinics and cosmetic surgeons. It gives no medical advice and books no treatment.
What these terms cover
These terms cover your use of DocAesthetics (docaesthetics.co.uk), a free guide to aesthetic clinics, laser hair removal clinics, hair transplant clinics and cosmetic surgeons in the United Kingdom. By using the site you accept them.
Not medical advice
The lists help you find and compare clinics. They are not a diagnosis, not a recommendation of any treatment, product or practitioner, and not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified professional who has examined you. Every treatment carries risks, and only the practitioner can explain them for your case.
We are not a clinic
DocAesthetics does not treat anyone, book consultations or charge users. It promises nothing about any clinic’s results, safety, prices or waiting times. Any agreement for a treatment, and any finance plan that pays for it, is between you and the clinic or the lender, never with us.
How the lists are made
From public information about each clinic (what its patients say, the treatments it publishes, its contact details and opening hours) and the criteria explained in “How we select”. A clinic on a Top plan is shown in a highlighted position and a clinic on a Pro plan has a fuller page. Both carry a label. A plan is not a check of the clinic and not our endorsement of it.
Check before you book
We review the lists from time to time, but phone numbers, addresses, opening hours and treatments change. Confirm them with the clinic before you go. Where a practitioner says they are a doctor, nurse or dentist, check them on the GMC, NMC or GDC register, and ask for the full price and the aftercare in writing.
Clinic pages and the business area
Anyone who claims a clinic’s page confirms that they are entitled to manage it and that what they publish is accurate and not misleading. Each clinic is responsible for making sure its own wording follows the UK advertising rules, which do not allow prescription-only medicines such as botulinum toxin to be promoted to the public, and for not promising results. We may edit or remove inaccurate or misleading content. The terms of the plans are shown in the business area.
What you must not do
Use the site for anything unlawful, copy its lists with automated tools, try to reach restricted areas, pretend to be another person or clinic, or give false details.
Intellectual property
The texts, the selection criteria, the order of each list, the name and the design of DocAesthetics belong to its owner or are used with permission. You may link to them and quote them with a credit. To copy a substantial part you need our permission.
Liability and law
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, DocAesthetics is not responsible for the treatments or services of the listed clinics, for what they say, or for the content of other websites. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live. We may change these terms, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
